So that's my dream. That and some stuff about cigars and a tunnel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

From now on I'm going to proceed as if they don't exist.

That definitely sounds like the way to go. I don't fuck with mealtimes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's a drag, Zen. I don't entirely understand how that happens - if you have breakfast plans with someone, how do you end up having breakfast without them? I mean, if something comes up and you can't go out for breakfast, sure, I get that, but it sounds like that is not what happened.

Mmm, hummus.

Hey, is anyone going to be available for lunch/brunch/drinks around 1:30 next Saturday in Oakland? Looks like my exam should be over about then. I'll be near the Civic Center BART station, so I'd be up for any place handy to there or easily BARTable, although I will probably be very hungry so I won't want to have to go to far/wait too long before eating...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Especially since she brought country ham specifically for us to enjoy together at breakfast! I've been wanting that ham all day. Now I don't get it until tomorrow. All because I asked her to give me 45 minutes to get a shower this morning before they arrived, and she decided not to wait.

This is why I believe in firm plans. Not "for breakfast," what time and where and we'll both be there.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yep, wishy-washy plans are not my friend. I am hungry, and I will eat!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

From now on I'm going to proceed as if they don't exist.

I'd really recommend it. It causes you anguish every time and they aren't going to change. It'll still cause some anguish but you won't add low blood sugar rage to the mix. And you will be in control of your own life.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Gosh, that reminds me of my little brothers infamous dinners. Don't expect to eat until at leat 9pm. even when the time declared is 6. No matter what, the main course will never be ready until 9, and he'll be slapping hands as you try to salve your hungry tummy on the sides before the final dish is ready.

So he's kind of a known quantity now, that you have to sneak snacks beforehand.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yikes, Zen. No problem like that with my in-laws. My FiL has alarms set on his watch for noon and 6pm, and if we aren't sitting at the table when it goes off, his bitching begins.

I will have a meal with your FIL ANYTIME, Scrappy.

Oh, god, I just did my taxes and my AGI is even more negative than it was the previous year. This time I somehow get a refund. Two dollars! My financial life is ridiculous.
