Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet

I'm kinda concerned about disturbing images - if it's the last thing (or like, the most powerful image) I see at night, I find myself lingering on those images or even importing them into dreams. Given that, would you recommend daylight-only viewing?
Hey, people have good news! And that is wonderful!
I haven't seen Hannibal yet, but I will have to give it a whirl; I like the creepy. I knew Fuller was doing it, but I didn't realize Dhavernas and Fishburne were in it!
Oof, I am TIRED. And I feel like I have been beaten; I think I shall eat something bland and take to my bed with an old book and the hope of pain-free sleep.
The largest animal I have encountered in the free and wild was a razorback pig while hiking in Arkansas, and that is plenty for me.
Given that, would you recommend daylight-only viewing?
YES. It is absolutely nightmare fuel. I am in fact right now watching an episode of New Girl as a palate cleanser, and I'm pretty sure I'll get at least one freaked-out late night wake-up out of what I've already seen.
But I'm definitely going to rewatch (during daylight hours). It's utterly visually *stunning*, and wow the acting.
Strix, your poor abdomen/gall bladder area! It sucks that you had to go to the ER, but I'm glad you got the good drugs. And the surgery is not a huge deal. My dad had it and was home by noon.
My dad his yanked in pre-laproscopic days, and it was still, according to him, no big deal. I'm cool with getting it done, but am highly affronted that I had ANOTHER attack -- I was really, really, REALLY hoping to avoid that!
Ah, well. DH was quite the rock star, dashing home from work, letting me squeeze his hand into jelly and rubbing my back for 2 hours, and being, in his terms, my "errand horse."
I think I will wait to watch Hannibal until post-surgery. Too many parts...
meara, 4 weeks. 1 bag. (The 4 weeks prior will have an additional bag, but it will be full of clothes that will be tossed before I leave Sweden)
Kate, I'll be at hostels, so I plan to wash them a time or two a week. The 1 bag edict is the bigger issue.
Thanks, Trudy.
YES. It is absolutely nightmare fuel.
Okay, also noted.
Strix, sorry about the insult added to injury. Glad you're doing better & DH was there for fetching & carrying (& comforting).
Probably a wise call, Strix (and, also, surgery vibes in plenty, and may the rest of your inside bits take heed -- act up, GET EVICTED).
The Onion's AV Club loves the show, and there are a bunch of videographers and photographers showing up in the comments to boggle at just how beautifully everything is shot (and Wonderfalls fans to bounce with glee over the shoutout).
eta: and apparently there was another Wonderfalls alum I didn't recognize, and one of the actors from the musical-theater plot strand of Season 3 of Slings & Arrows.
Apparently the average high in Paris in June is 71 degrees? Obviously depends on the bag and other things, but I'd probably pack 3 or 4 bottoms that go with everything and then 3-4 tanks, 1-3 short and long sleeve, and 2-3 cardigans/hoodies/whatever. I figure if the high is 70 it can get chilly at night.
Wow. I just got sent the correct document for me to sign off on my 2012 eval (I had signed and returned what she originally sent), and she didn't actually say

to my face. Like, the really important part where I can't communicate business requirements which contributed to a distrust of the platform.
