Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

YES. It is absolutely nightmare fuel.

Okay, also noted.

Strix, sorry about the insult added to injury. Glad you're doing better & DH was there for fetching & carrying (& comforting).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Probably a wise call, Strix (and, also, surgery vibes in plenty, and may the rest of your inside bits take heed -- act up, GET EVICTED).

The Onion's AV Club loves the show, and there are a bunch of videographers and photographers showing up in the comments to boggle at just how beautifully everything is shot (and Wonderfalls fans to bounce with glee over the shoutout).

eta: and apparently there was another Wonderfalls alum I didn't recognize, and one of the actors from the musical-theater plot strand of Season 3 of Slings & Arrows.

Apparently the average high in Paris in June is 71 degrees? Obviously depends on the bag and other things, but I'd probably pack 3 or 4 bottoms that go with everything and then 3-4 tanks, 1-3 short and long sleeve, and 2-3 cardigans/hoodies/whatever. I figure if the high is 70 it can get chilly at night.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. I just got sent the correct document for me to sign off on my 2012 eval (I had signed and returned what she originally sent), and she didn't actually say this to my face. Like, the really important part where I can't communicate business requirements which contributed to a distrust of the platform.

a) WE HAVE NO CAPABLE DEVELOPERS ON THE PLATFORM

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I like Hannibal a lot, but I do not care for the actor playing Hannibal. He almost ruins the show for me. Otherwise, I like the other actors quite a bit. Beau has watched 2 eps with me and he says: "this is just like your other crime shows." Which may be the case.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

That about lines up with what I'm thinking. If I take a sweater and my keeps-rain-off-but-doesn't-look-like-a-raincoat, plus my not-a-pashmina not-pink wrap thing, then that should let me be a little dressier, if need be.

Current plan is one long-sleeve, 3 fitted t-shirts, and a tank top or two (one with a shelf bra, for sleeping).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Strix, I know this is laproscopic and all, but have you given any thought to a zipper?

I know that broomstick skirts are not as ubiquitous as they were when I did my little jaunt, but they're handy to break out in a "this is a cathedral, cover your legs, heathen" situation. And they really do look half-decent with sandals and the wrap thing.

I feel really bad for accidentally hitting a guy in the head with my bag of groceries, but dude, maybe bending down to tie your shoe in a narrow bus aisle the moment a bunch of people are getting on is NOT the best idea?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Surgery~ma, Strix!

I can't tell, ita, is that acknowledging that the communications issues are not so much your fault because of the no capable developers, or something else?

Patting myself on the back - I got the duplicate title to my Volvo in the mail and immediately got it filled out (I hope correctly) and sent off to my sister so that transaction should be actually complete only about 8 weeks after I actually gave her the car. Sigh. But I moved with alacrity when I could, and also got the death certificate sent off to the loan people since the scanned-with-my-phone copy is apparently not enough, AND went to the grocery store and got myself an avocado to have for dinner (and other stuff, but the avocado was the motivating factor). So I think now it is time to sit on the patio with a glass of wine.
