Sweet, Gud!
Good news, Suela!
Yay, avocado!
Timelies all!
Congrats Gud!
Yay Consuela!
Suela that's awesome! I hope it all works out in the best of ways.
Now I wish I had avocado. Instead I ate some of the stew-thing my roommate made last night with barley and carrots and leeks and kale. Super healthy. ...not delicious. So I whipped out the Sriracha sauce, and started to shake it up. Note to self: This is a better plan if you make sure the top is closed on the sauce before you start shaking!!
... and the plot thickens. On Tuesday I replied to an official job posting on Big Firm's web page, prior to having lunch on Wednesday with my friend who works there.
This morning, friend calls me & says that the job opening I replied to wasn't actually open, but two senior managers want to talk to me anyway. I say sure, we plan to have lunch next Friday.
Ten minutes ago, a recruiter from Big Firm calls me about my application, and clearly has no idea about the other communications. And I didn't realize she didn't understand it, until I was already off the phone with her. Does this job exist or not? So confused.
That is odd, Consuela, but the good news is that she was interested in you, too?
All this talk of avocado and I have no guacamole.
Now I want avocado too! I would say this is evidence that I'm too suggestible, but the truth is, I pretty much always want avocado.
'Suela, that... is odd! But still a positive for you, right? Can you doublecheck with your friend about whether or not the job is open?
How's the weather, Kate? Are you safe at home with Rose now?
Great news Gud!
Here's hoping an attractive offer results from the nibbles of interest you're getting, Consuela.
Good news from my office isn't in terms of tangible gains, but my superior attended a meeting with the client whose project I've been working on since last summer and they're vocal about how thrilled they are by the work we've been doing. Bodes well for continued business from them in the future, so yay! to job security.
Congratulations Gud!
Good luck Consuela!
And my local grocery's been having lots of avocados at reasonable prices, so I've been enjoying. yum!
I should go buy an avocado so I can eat it for lunch tomorrow, but I'm all comfy on the couch now. It's a dilemma.
