Jeez, it's 82F in my house right now. I still have flannel sheets on my bed and the cover on the swamp cooler! So unprepared.

Monday night I was using the heated mattress pad, and last night it was 79 in the house and I was sprawled out on the bed in front of a fan, wondering how much shame I would bring upon the House of Teppy if I turned the a/c on. I did not turn it on, because it was only April 10, damn it. Plus tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 54, whereupon I will be cranking the heated mattress pad back up to BROIL and praising our furnace. Oh, April, stop fucking with my sinuses.

Was up until 2 a.m. making Minecraft cakes for Owen's class today. I don't know why I do it to myself but I do. And will continue to do.

Snow is headed this way. Not as much as Denver and South Dakota got but I'm not relishing this last taste of Winter.

Owen is 9 today. Crazy how fast this is going.

Our snow day was the most pathetic snow day ever. Even CJ was complaining. Sure - nice to have a day off school but there wasn't enough snow to go out and play in.

So we need to make hotel reservations in SF for our trip. (eta: June 30th to July 5th.) Are any Bayistas familiar with this hostel?

San Francisco Downtown Hoste

Some private rooms are sold out, but we can get one with a shared bath for $94 a night, which I'd be happy with. But we could probably find a cheaper hotel in SF--any thoughts?

We had planned on staying at the Fisherman's Wharf hostel, but private rooms are already sold out there.
