It hit 96 down at the Inner Harbor yesterday. It was at least 93 near me.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

But but global warming is a myth! I saw it on the television!

hip deep in pie

Sepinwall and Fienberg hated the Da Vinci show.

Every time I see something about this show I think it's a sequel to DaVinci's Inquest, a Canadian show.

Because books.

Happy birthday, Owen! Try to hold off on world domination until you're ten at least.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Well, the turds at work are being especially turdy. Got me in a fowl mood by 8:30. fuck fuck fuck. I have an interview today and I need to rock it, not be an angry steaming pile of bitter.

ION, I am fairly certain that my competition internally for this position is someone who has more applicable experience to the tasks the new job will doing. FUCK!!! And, if I am right on who it is, she is super nice and a good person and also a single mom.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So we need to make hotel reservations in SF for our trip. (eta: June 30th to July 5th.) Are any Bayistas familiar with this hostel?

San Francisco Downtown Hoste

Some private rooms are sold out, but we can get one with a shared bath for $94 a night, which I'd be happy with. But we could probably find a cheaper hotel in SF--any thoughts?

We had planned on staying at the Fisherman's Wharf hostel, but private rooms are already sold out there.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I am unexpectedly home alone! And since I explicitly took today as a personal day and not work-from-home (since I thought I would have Aeryn here), I don't have to turn on my work laptop if I don't want to!

Dylan is at a potential new school for next year today - since they have a very progressive teaching model, they're asking all the first grade applicants to spend a trial day in the classroom to make sure it's a good fit. And I thought I would be keeping Aeryn home with me, but she begged to go to daycare and be with her friends, so I dropped her off too. (Which actually worked out great because it meant I could stay in the classroom and observe without having to worry about a noisy two year-old wanting to run around and touch things.)

It being April, I'm torn between wanting to veg on the couch and CLEAN ALL THE THINGS.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

tommyrot, I don't know anything about hostels or hotels in SF, and your visit dates are too far off in the future for me to make plans, but I would love to see you while you are out west!

Hooray for a personal day on your own, Jess!

Go msbelle, be your awesome self! Stop getting her down, world and esp. turds@work.
