You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I saw my first butterfly and my first ladybug of the year. It's Spring! For reals!

It will be Spring for reals when cicada Brood II makes its appearance: [link]

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Isn't Yma a name already?

I would be Enidan- which is weird and sounds a bit like a prescription drug

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I would be Enidan- which is weird and sounds a bit like a prescription drug

Heh. One that turns you into an Enid.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Marriage equality is important, but so is the equality of non-marriage: of friendship, of solitude.

This is why I resist shipping every fictional couple. I like to see examples of friendship too. I would be nowhere without my friends.

Job~ma all around.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DO NOT WANT.

Because books.

Now I'm picturing Samoht walking down from the mountaintop, carrying an iPad with seven new commandments about cats.

EXACTLY. "And among them shall number that greatest of all cats, the hairless sphinx ..."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

We got all your accumulation, Suzi. Seriously, it is *still* coming down. And then the road is clear (but obviously muddy) but there is still a ton of snow in the yard. I thought it would all be gone by now. So much for weeding today.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've actually used ati as a pseud before. Why not?

How could a girl be named that and not be a beast?

Not sure what that means.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Wow, are things just not bouncing back for your industry, or is this a more generalized slash-and-burn corporate philosophy?

Partly the former, plus alligning skills sets with company goals. We actually have been hiring lately, including bringing back a few people who were laid off in one of the prior rounds (which I've never heard of happening before).

The folks who were let go generally had out-of-date skills (in some cases stubbornly not devloping new ones), weren't good team people (since we've gone agile in our development process), or had turned in substandard work at some point.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

?I would be Yma, which is just no fun at all.

Tons of fun. [link]
