My 5 hour nap yesterday afternoon was not condusive to sleeping soundly through the night. Oh well, at least I got some exercise this morning walking to the hospital cafeteria for breakfast.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Party was nice, low-key. Bunch of my friends hanging around and chatting, which is what I wanted. (It was an early birthday party for me, as this was the only weekend we could have one in April.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for having the party you wanted!

I think I need to buy some herb seeds, or seedlings. All this talk of basil makes me want to grow some. And I always need to plant parsley.

Mmmm, basil.

Liese, how awesome for your SO. What a beautiful experience.

I am all dressed up (relatively speaking) with nowhere to go, because my plans just got canceled. I'm kind of glad they did, but now I don't want to waste being up, showered, dressed in outside clothes with makeup and hair and everything well before usual (if ever) on a Sunday. But I can't seem to formulate a plan. I guess I'll start with food and see what happens.

I have a bunch of seeds from the neighborhood seed exchange on my desk this morning.

The status is NOT quo.

Liese, meant to say earlier how utterly amazing your DH's accomplishment is--what a high! Please pass along ND and my congrats.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

As soon as I get myself showered and dressed I am going to go to Home Depot to talk to them about buying and planting citrus trees.

Hurray, Lee! I love having citrus trees. I too had a Home Depot gardening trip recently. I planted four new rose bushes and a baby bougainvillea.

I am looking forward to it, I must say. Just have to put in the work to make sure I don't eff it up first (and figure out how I can get the trees home). I plan on also buying some planters and stuff to put in them that I can work on today, since both OSH and Home Depot are having garden sales this weekend.
