"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I wonder how my new haircut will be in the water? I've never swum consistently enough to have chlorine problems, though.

So the SO is gone for an overnighter (he wrote a Thelonious Monk tribute piece for big band and it's being played tonight by T.S. monk, his son, as part of a college jazzfest back in New Mexico) and it's 2:30, and my hockey game is about to end and I'm already out of internets. TALK MOAR PEOPLE! Or, you know, I might be forced to clean my office and do my taxes. And we don't want that!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Vortex, while your correction is true, I don't think I can claim to have discovered that principal.

Eta: wow, on your SOs tribute song, Liese!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

the medical expense are the only think kicking my refund up this year - I had adjusted my withholdings so I would not get a refund, so before medical and charitable donations it was $50, now inching up to $2k.

only wildcard at this point, I think is dependent care - that is next up.

I know! Isn't that cool? I'm so proud of him. It's called, "Well, You Oughta!" a play off of "Well, You Needn't."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's really cool, Liese!

I have a cable company appointment for tomorrow, so of course my DVR seems to be working more or less correctly, so I can't decide if I should cancel or not.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Amy!

I am trying to grade, but I don't really have a brain right now. Oops.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I don't have a brain either. And I need it right now.

But oh well, I'm taking the time to totally own my bandwagon fandom. I haven't followed NCAA basketball all year, but hey, go Shockers!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just watched a piece on March Madness, and I thought I'd be alright with the passion and the heartbreak, etc...but then they did a Hank Gathers piece, including him dropping dead. THANKS GUYS.

I'm watching one of those old HBO specials on sex and porn (why do they not do that anymore? They're worth repeating, but I haven't seen anything as wide-rangingly and frank as Real Sex filmed recently, or graphic as Pornucopia that doesn't look ridic dated.

They are makng porn sound like a great career choice--no education required, and $1000/day is...that's a decent way to pass the time. Instead I'll be reviewing two books on agile use cases this weekend, and breaking in new (what???) pens.

Today's drawing challenge was favourite food, and I need to look around to see what other people drew, because none of my food is recognisable cooked.
