I wore bamboo tights to work today. I have worn them before. As I'm driving home, my butt and tops of legs hurt. Like general discomfort. I take my dress and tights off and I look in the mirror and I have two giant rashes from the tights, because I have an underwear line where the rash stops. WHAT THE FUCKITY FUCK?! The dress I wore is wool, though my underwear is cotton. If it weren't for that fact I'd just assume my body is rebelling against any and all plant matter.

I found bamboo tights disappointingly uncomfortable. No rash, though--that's sounds awful. And clearly can't be detergent--have you any other experience with the fibre? Mine were mostly short-crotched problems.

Oh no to rashes and sprains! My local allergens are strong enough to break through the chemical shield I use all spring and summer, maybe the bamboo will be not irritating at other times. That would be a hard gamble to take, though.

I seem to be going ahead with this refi, because I didn't have enough in the way of tasks and stress. If I'm able to live within my income in a couple of months it will be worth it, though.

I can only tell you that Skadden as a firm should be a pretty intense place. I can't speak to the LA office, or the HR division, but if it matters to you, I would inquire about dress codes and that kind of thing. It's a client-facing business, and Skadden is not one of the firms with a laidback/lifestyle reputation.
