'Day' is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. I didn't get you anything.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I need the time to recover, I just forgot to build any free time into my schedule.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad things went well, Burrell.

Happy birthday, Tom!

I'm working at home today. Which is good--the weather's lovely, if chilly, so I was able to take the cat for a walk at lunch and I'll be working from the sofa this afternoon. Things have been super busy, so it's nice to have a low key day. Or at least one where I can swear at the monitor out loud.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Have people been following this? Notorious porno copyright trolls Prenda Law have a very bad day in court - Boing Boing

What they would do is accuse someone of illegally downloading porno (that was protected by copyright) and force them to settle to avoid an expensive and embarrassing lawsuit. But apparently it's just a bunch of lawyers working for themselves (via a fake client).

From the article referenced in the link:

"the responsible lawyers for a law firm conducting litigation before a court have refused to explain that litigation to the court on the grounds that doing so could expose them to criminal prosecution."

IANAL, but this is very unusual, no?

Oh, yes. I read Popehat's post yesterday, it was awesome.

On a total change of subject, would any of the career-expert Buffistas be willing to volunteer to give my resume a once-over? I'm fine with the content, but I'd like to find out if my format is a decade out of date, and if maybe it's all too long for someone with my experience.

Help?

like to listen to a song by the Weakerthans (thanks Sue) called One Great City. It has a line in it that I modify to, I. Hate. Everything.

Is that the "I hate Winnipeg" so g? I love that song--I downloaded it when my drag convention was in Winnipeg one year and I couldn't go.
