I fed off a flowerperson, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, I have an appointment to get my hair cut at a new barbershop here. It's a "Gentlemen's Cut and Shave Shop." I've never had a shave from a barber (you know, with a straight razor). Should I do it? Will it be fun?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Getting shaved seems like it would be cool.

IOON, a picture I just shared on Facebook reminds me of another reason to be pissed off about Clarence Thomas -- his interracial marriage would have been illegal 50 years ago.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, Consuela, what a bunch of tools they are. But I agree that you should not resign--you deserve unemployment.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sadly, just not going back into the office would be unprofessional. I have projects & clients that I can't just leave hanging.

Wait, what? They've told you you're fired and they expect you to keep working? It's your company that's left your clients hanging, not you! It's their responsibility to put the pieces back together.

Can you dump it all on your nemesis's lap and then take out a freakin' billboard offering your consultant services right outside the offices of clients you actually like, she asks sweetly.

We are all shifty, vengeful people.

I love us.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Consuela,

I think you need to do what you feel is your obligation to clients and those who might be in a position to hire you in the future. Anything else you should feel no obligation to: including the needs of your current employer beyond the absolute minimum. Didn't you barely get an extension of your contract anyway?

Is it feasible for you to work there until you are officially let go? Some of you are made of stronger stuff than me: I couldn't emotionally deal with wanting to murder the fuckers every day. I'd need to bail as soon as I felt it professionally viable to do so.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I didn't get fired. My contract is up at the end of April, roughly; what happened today is that I found out I wasn't going to be hired into a full-time position. I just told my boss my last day will be April 10.

And both the hiring manager & my boss claim that I wasn't as competitive as the person they chose, because the position was revised so much. No one will be managing the program I've been running for six years.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, Consuela! I'm afraid they're unclass acts all the way through and through. I'd set something on fire in your honor, if it would help in any way.

Seriously, I look forward to hearing about all the phone calls you get after you leave, when they realize that NO ONE, including the person they hired, knows how to do your job.
