ita, can you try a lucky store?
I will have to, because I think it will take subject matter expertise to find the proper current equivalent for what we bought before. I mean, I have worked out what the style title was (Easy Rider something), but I can't work out which of the three current Easy Rider options it's closest to. Or if this Sofia with the intriguing higher back rise development.
Oh, the possibilities that await me.
I missed the mark on spicing these muffins, but the texture was really successful. Good discussion.
Now, what is dinner?

Now, what is dinner?
I went to the grocery store and bought stuff to make cassoulet, but now I'm too lazy because I made & drank a Pisco sour. So I think it's going to be a mushroom quesadilla. And then maybe Ken Burns' new documentary.
I made lasagne. Browned off some ground turkey and some italian sausage, then sauteed some chopped onion and cremini mushrooms in the drippings. I added a jar of organic sauce, and let that simmer for 20 minutes to get acquainted. I had intended to make bechamel, but I forgot to buy milk, so I mixed some half and half with some frozen alfredo sauce. I layered meat sauce, white sauce, and one of those shredded italian cheese blends. It was nom and I am very full.

Simultaneously awesome and wiggins-inducing!
Dinner is grilled cheese with ham and lentil/sausage stew. To drink, I've had pear cider and bailey's with actual cream. I went to TJs, but there were no christmas jo jos yet. So sad. Instead, I bought yet more butternut squash and spinach gratin (holey moley yum!).
Now I'm sleepy.
Things we made today: an advent calendar, turkey place cards, a mostly completed wreath of awesomeness, a girl scout journal.
Tomorrow I will make mushroom/lentil shepherd's pie, apple cranberry crisp, and a whole bunch of pie crusts. And maybe mashed potatoes, since I have to make it for the shepherd's pie anyhow.
Who is coming over for thanksgiving?
I made breakfast burritos with pork chorizo and black beans, and I made a lot so I could eat the leftovers for breakfast the next couple of days.
I don't have a broken hand! My hand was a little baffling to the Urgent Care staff. They think dislocation, and I'm supposed to ice it, wear a brace, and take ibuprofen.
Glad to hear it's not broken, shrift!
Me, I spent 3 hours assembling Ikea furniture. And then checked out a house for sale in my sister's neighborhood. It's cool, and weird, and has the most amazingly kind-of-awful pink kitchen. Ewww.
I had leftover boeuf bourguignon Chez my parents, so that was good.
Drank several beers during the Saints game, came home and made homemade mac & cheese, now sleepy, and maybe slightly hung over?
