"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh, and if anybody was particularly entranced with Charlize's hair on Oscar night here's a good reference pic.

See, whereas I'm mad extroverted--I love having houseguests because that means there's people around ALL THE TIME! (I mean, I like them better if they also understand that we should both spend some time on the computer or watching TV, because I hate getting days behind on things like borg and FB, but even then I like doing it with someone else in the room). I'm totally a dog on the dog/cat friend scale. :)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

What amuses me is that almost ALL of my dearest friends are introverts.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jilli,

I think all of those introverts are needed to balance you out!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ironically, I love hosting parties. Because when you're the host, it's incredibly easy to control the level of interaction by excusing yourself to go check on something in the kitchen. So much easier than being a guest with nothing to do except talk!

We do joke that I'm everyone's stunt extrovert. It's also why I was quasi-promoted to Terminology Czarina at work: I have no problems wandering around the office and asking the developers WHY they think that's the best term for that thing.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Much like Jess, though I have Scripts for Having to Talk, I tend to be quiet in the hair chair. I tell my stylist that it's because I trust her, which is true. She does a great job, can talk if she feels like it, and I feel no real need to chatter back.

And she's been doing my hair for about two years now.

BRAIN TWIN!

Seriously, I told my therapist this! Also, if I'm doing something concrete and useful, like making pancakes for a brunch, I am satisfying people without having to interact!

Whereas I dislike hosting parties. Too much stuff to do! Things to arrange! Not enough time to talk to people!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't want to talk about sexual harassment with strangers. I find the conversation disturbing...HR!
