Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It totally counts as food! And any progress is good progress on that front.

Okay, so I got the busted cigar box guitar rewired, and it's working, and sounds great! Very clean, no hum at all, maybe a teeny bit when it's cranked all the way up to 10. (Mine doesn't go to 11. It's just a cigar box guitar.)

I should probably learn to play it so I can post a video.

And then I sat stupidly in front of the studio for a while, but my songwriting brain has taken the day off, so I just did adminy type maintenance on it.

I put together the parts I'll need for my buddy Sammy's bass prototype. I have everything I need, I think, except for the hide glue. Which I have to have to go further, because I need to put on the fretboard and the support for the neck where the pickup mounts.

And then I spent a bunch of time on the cigar box website and I uploaded a bunch of my pictures and basically got nothing else done. Oops.

So dishes I guess now, and then I might need to crash out. I'm pretty wiped.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But it's still something Grace is eating with her mouth and that's very exciting!

The internet is amazing. I can watch a livestream of the Alaska Native Arts Festival that Niecelet is on the stage committee for and email her in the middle of it. I am watching what she's doing at college 3,500 miles away. Live. And talking about it together!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Who was it who got her eyebrows tattooed? I'm thinking about it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

meara, Google image search can change your life...I think tineye did it first, but Google is far better. Buggy in a way that makes me paranoid I'm missing stuff, but it's a great deal more than nothing--you can upload a file from your hard drive, or give it a link, and it tells you search terms that will result in that picture, pages that have that picture, other sizes of that picture, and visually similar (well, theorically--it tends to give you an actor's co-stars if you supply a pic of the actor--not that visually similar).

I use it to find the highest resolution version of any pictures that look like provocateuse fodder. I've also used it to find sites that are using my photographs (AfterElton posted one of my pictures of Colin, and some newspaper site used my picture of Dhani Jones) without permission.

If you like Jared Padalecki, perhaps try Jensen Ackles.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh! I meant to post this as soon as I got home, but I guess I forgot.

Jilli alert: today's inventory was Forever 21, and they had quite a lot of B&W stripey stuff and a black and pink stripey blazer that I had to bring to your attention - they were folded up and I didn't get a good look at them, but cupcake pink and black in circus tent stripes definitely caught my eye.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Wow, that is really cool, Cass.

That would be so awesome if Taylor went to your alma mater, sarameg. Our close friends' daughter is going to our alma mater this coming year and it makes me really happy.

I got a second wind. I cleaned the kitchen and the dining room and I tidied the living room. Which will make the actual normal housecleaning tomorrow much more effective. I really need to take the recycling, though, if it isn't snowing. And buy copper tape. And a new crockpot.

Because I think my hide glue came! Along with some more film piezos. So I should be able to tackle Sammy's entire prototype project tomorrow.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have no winds, second or otherwise. I'm up and worrying this morning -- right on schedule.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Later today I'm hitting the library for a bunch of books I put on hold.(Agatha award nominations came out, and I am catching up.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Who was it who got her eyebrows tattooed? I'm thinking about it.

Javachik, I believe.

My plans with a friend just got cancelled, so maybe I'll really clean the house?
