Interesting that some of you have a direction you face in the shower. I turn around a lot. I also have to be prepared to jump out of the stream when the water suddenly goes scalding or freezing. That's my least favorite thing about this apartment.
Have you guys seen the time-lapse photos of sleeping couples? [link]
Work is making me weary, but I think I'm doing okay covering for my boss so far and the crew is being understanding and cooperative. If I can make it through the next two weeks without a major fail I think I'll be okay.
Wow, how did y'all find his picture? I'm impressed.
sara, that's so awesome that she has you and that she's doing so well!

I am now back home from my interminable day.
When I got back from a book reading from one of my writing group friends (she had a book published: [link] K was immediately ready to go out. So we went to the yard house for dinner.
Grace ordered food! Or sort of food... we've discovered that she's really fond of pudding. So she had butterscotch pudding at the restaurant. It was nice to order overpriced food for my little girl to actually eat.
You know, whenever I think of pudding (or have some pudding) I think of Dean Winchester, but now I will also think of Grace. Eating food in a restaurant, woo!
Grace eating food in a restaurant! Woo-hoo!
Granted, the food is pudding. She couldn't live forever on pudding. So it's more like "food" than food.
It totally counts as food! And any progress is good progress on that front.
Okay, so I got the busted cigar box guitar rewired, and it's working, and sounds great! Very clean, no hum at all, maybe a teeny bit when it's cranked all the way up to 10. (Mine doesn't go to 11. It's just a cigar box guitar.)
I should probably learn to play it so I can post a video.
And then I sat stupidly in front of the studio for a while, but my songwriting brain has taken the day off, so I just did adminy type maintenance on it.
I put together the parts I'll need for my buddy Sammy's bass prototype. I have everything I need, I think, except for the hide glue. Which I have to have to go further, because I need to put on the fretboard and the support for the neck where the pickup mounts.
And then I spent a bunch of time on the cigar box website and I uploaded a bunch of my pictures and basically got nothing else done. Oops.
So dishes I guess now, and then I might need to crash out. I'm pretty wiped.
But it's still something Grace is eating with her mouth and that's very exciting!
The internet is amazing. I can watch a livestream of the Alaska Native Arts Festival that Niecelet is on the stage committee for and email her in the middle of it. I am watching what she's doing at college 3,500 miles away. Live. And talking about it together!
Who was it who got her eyebrows tattooed? I'm thinking about it.
