The people that watch Catfish(and all the marks that wait to be on season 2, of course,) need to read Allyson's book too, because that show's conclusion is too often "Online relationships are bull," instead of the more accurate "How many supermodels do you think are really on Facebook?" and "People get pissed when you lie." I hate myself for watching that thing anyway, not least because the commercials make me feel like I'm a hundred, but I still can't stop.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I've moved seven times and traveled countless miles since I first had you, and you have been with me every step of the way. I miss my friends from college or Kansas or wherever, but I have never had to miss you.
This. I travel all the time, but at least y'all are always around!
And I'm also a "face shower, hit at neck/chest, or face away while streaming down head/back for maximum warmth" person. And would like I soaking tub. That sounds so nice right now, I have a horrible backache.
I've found that while I really like the idea of a soaking tub, I don't enjoy actually making use of one for very long. Once it makes me break a sweat above the water line I'm ready to get out and cool off.
I am watching a a Nova program on Neaderthals and how they may have had language, rituals, interbred with humans, etc. it seems new and exciting.
But, isn't that sort of the whole premise of Clan if the Cave Bear?
How do you rinse your hair facing the water?
How do you rinse your hair facing away from the water? For me, it would take kind of a limbo move.
If there were a life-time achievement award for stripping screws or losing the fourth caster after installing the first three, I'd be in the money.
Hivemind help, please.
The hotel room I stayed in on my TX trip had this [link redacted] piece of art on the wall. I liked it enough I've thought about getting a print for my apartment, but I haven't been able to identify it.
Is this something anyone recognizes? Does anyone know the artist? The people at the hotel had no idea, and I couldn't find a signature. (The other print in the room was Klimt's "Beech Forest 1," which is pretty much the only Klimt I like, and prints of it are readily available.)
I have been looking forward to making veal marsala all week, and when push came to shove--I made veal piccata. I have no idea why. It's tasty, so that's cool, but the craving goes unquenched.

Don't you just back into the stream? So it's hitting your scalp even more directly than if you'd been facing the water?

I thought that it was Jondalar's schlong was the muse that inspired Ayla to write the Constitution?
I watched that Nova, Sophia, and some of their conclusions are way more interesting than anything Auel came up with, IMO.

I haven't taken a bath since the raining-in-the-livingroom incident. Though that shouldn't happen anymore, though I still don't have a real overflow drain. My tub is longer than most, has a lovely sloped back...and a faucet right where your head would go. Alas: [link]
Builders in the 30s had some weird ideas. Or at least this developer did.
So today I went to market, Target, TJs, Petsmart, swam, had Taylor over for a visit and vacuumed and mopped the whole house (finished that half an hour ago.) Ooph.
...and you guys? One of the schools she applied to? Guilford. My alma mater. She looked into it just because I went there and she really liked it. Honestly, I think she'd do really well there. And she'd probably get really good merit and need-based financial aid there (it's really spendy, but they really really support their low-income students.) She's gotten in to all her safety schools, and even has a plan if the is a major money fail ( BCC until she can transfer in) but I think she'll get decent financial aid.
