'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A bit of Googling says that 'salable' is the American spelling. Which just looks w r o n g.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Both "saleable" and "salable" look wrong to me. What's the context?

Edit: Maybe not wrong exactly, but awkward for sure. I'd go with a different word if you can find the right one.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So our security department just said that NBC.com got severely hacked today, and the site will be blocked until further notice. Anybody heard about this and know any details?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

A friend on FB (who's a big IT security guy) posted about it earlier. Let me see if I can find his link.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, DH was dealing with this last week when TWOP got hit, and now other NBC properties are being targeted as well - everyone over there has had their computers scrubbed and they have this insanely complicated new secure login system to make sure the network is locked down. It's been a total PITA for everyone involved.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

All day in MS Project. My brain is melting out of my ears. I just realized it is 2:30 and I haven't put a bra on yet. I'm on my last set of adjustments and of course this is the most tedious set.

Ok, forced break time.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What was also nice was walking from my car to the office today, a lovely woman stopped me to tell me she thought I looked really totally put together and awesome. Total stranger!

Oh, that happened to me once! I was at a random drugstore, wearing an old sweater, and the clerk gushed over how put-together I looked, apparently because my sweater and my headband were the same shade of fuchsia.

I also recall once telling someone how put-together and classy she always looked, and she blinked at me and laughed and said, "I have chicken poo on my pants right now!"

Cargo pants. I'm just saying.

Phone in back pocket, wallet in other back pocket, lip balm in front pocket, keys in other front pocket, sunglasses on head. I am glad I don't have anything else I need to carry. Hand lotion, wet wipes, water bottle, kleenex, and inhaler are in a thermos bag in the glove compartment.

Also hoping you are wrong, Sophia.

At the team's meeting tonight CJ received his shield.

That's fantastic!

Oh my god husband wants to plan to drive a giant U-haul to Texas. I won't make it there alive.

Having driven giant U-Hauls up and down the East Coast, I say (1) it's not that bad but you can't go as fast as you think you can, and (2) hire movers if you can.

Thanks Zen - regarding CJ. To add to the mommy bragging. Right now he is the only non-command staff member to have a shield. They are losing some seargents after graduation, so maybe he will become a team officer. Who knows!

Ok, bra on. I'm wearing shorts and a tank top while there is 3-5 inches of snow outside. And my heater isn't cranked.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I drove a giant U-Haul truck from San Francisco to Chicago. While pulling a big old Mercury. It was fun.
