If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Go CJ!

Except I also keep windows open so that my pillow doesn't smell of pot roast or whatever the night's dinner was, and I did have to stop that. I'm going to bundle to sleep tonight too.

I've had my bedroom window open all winter. I like having the air, and my place is pretty small so my heating cost really doesn't get out of control.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

You know what's awesome? Discovering you set your alarm to go off at 6 pm, not 6 am.

Not.

But I still got to work a little under an hour ago. I just don't like the rush.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, CJ!

Because books.

Suzi, that's awesome. Moving out there has been so great for him.

I'm listening to my Disney playlist -- I only have the stuff in my cloud player because I'm on a borrowed laptop -- and it's really hard not to belt out the lyrics. "Oh, I just can't wait to be king..."

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am still sick. Work drama is still dramatic and I want no part of any of it.

Dr. appt today at 1:45, so I will leave at lunchtime and not return. I hope they can determine if this is viral, allergies, or aliens. I want it gone.

mac is not dealing with me being sick, pouty and obstinate with not getting attention. McPhee and I both promptly told him to get over himself.

Speaking of McPhee, her grandmother is dying and she is headed to England on Sunday for a week. Thank dog, the parentals are being troopers and say they can get mac afterschool all of next week.

Anyone have a spare hole I can crawl into?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

msbelle, I have a spare room, internet connection and I can leave food outside the door. I'll even give you a bucket if you don't want to duck across the hall when nature calls.

Thanks for all the nice words about CJ. Colorado really has been good to him. Oh, oh, I know I've mentioned that he does fire station ride alongs occasionally. Right now he is signed up to work a shift on St. Patrick's day. I have very mixed feelings about him rooting for drunk people to do stupid stuff.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, CJ! He really is an impressive young man; I'm so glad I was able to meet him (and you of course) last summer. As for St Patrick's Day, I'm sure there are people who will do stupid things even if he wasn't rooting for them.

Msbelle, feel better.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle, want me to have a word with your son and tell him to shape up and start pampering the sickie? I think soup and lullabies, maybe bedtime stories? It's only fair.

I hadn't realised Kelly Manners was producing Necessary Roughness. Interesting.

Does anyone here use Method products? I like their stuff--I use their hand soap in my bathroom and kitchen, and their ylang ylang shower spray is one of the few complex scents I can tolerate, and if shower spray works, this might be working (that downward slide into scum seems to be slower now). But recently I grabbed laundry detergent because they have some highly concentrated stuff--way less packaging and bulk--600ml for 50 loads. It was on sale, so reasonable, but I think I'm a fan.
