Zen, I am hardly fit but I walk almost 5K home from work every day. It takes me just under an hour at a pretty steady, but not hard pace...
I just hope that if they do cancel this flight they do it sooner than later so I can get home somehow...and not really stuck here overnight.
Amy, I think they will pay for a hotel since I am in transit.

Oh dear, that's embarassing -- I just figured out it wasn't the alarm wired into the ceiling, but the prior one that I still have sitting on top of the fridge, whose batteries are running out.
Happy Birthday Beverly!
This is a gorgeous and sad and wonderfully-written story about the death of the writer's father, and the wonders of the UK's NHS:

Oh, that's good, Sue. Still, speedy travel home ~ma.
javachik, it's right here in town, about two blocks from the old one.
Happy birthday, Beverly!
Steph, I hope the new meds work with minimal internal flora disruption.
I did the couch to 5k thing in 06? 07? Something like that. It was through a program sponsored by a local sport shoe shop. I didn't run an actual race, but I ran the whole 5k prep run with the group, so I figure that counts. I wish I could do it again, but I messed up my ankle in 09, and it's still a bit wonky.
So you spend your hour of therapy walking through the park instead of sitting in an office?
Yeah, the thing I like, besides the extra exercise, is that I really feel refreshed after walking through the park. Something about the sunshine and smell of leaves. We usually sit on a bench for the last 20 minutes and she always brings Kleenex and a bottle of water. She does regular office therapy three days a week so clients can choose.

Oh, nice! Wasn't sure if it was out in WC or right in Philly.
We're not moving to Philly. If we were leaving this town, I'd go more rural first.
