You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had no questions this round.

Good news of the day while doing an onerous personal task (paying water/sewer/trash bill) - paying $200 to get my sprinkler leak fixed saved me $106 on this month's bill, so that repair pays for itself in just 2 months! woohoo. I still need to get our water usage down a bit though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got my project out! Woooooo! So that's good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Flu shot, that's something I need to do. But not today.

I am done with my overdue tasks for the day. I'm going to have a cup of tea and then get started on tidying up and rearranging the living room. Yes.

After all the scrambling to meet deadlines this week, I'm not sure I have it in me tonight for tasks more onerous than eating takeout with my feet propped up. I may try to fold and hang Clean Laundry Mountain over the weekend though.

OH - I put away 90% of my laundry mountain this morning before I left the house. YAY! that will be something nice to get home to.

I am going to scan in a couple more things and then I am leaving!

Congratulations, Nilly!

I have so many onerous tasks, starting with finishing editing my mother's obituary and *finally* getting it into the paper (she died 6 weeks ago!), and evaluating the designs that have come in for my project at arcbazar. But I think I'm going to have to define onerous task as taking a shower at some point today. I've been working on the arcbazar thing so hard for so long but a quick look at the three responses that came in shows none of them addressed the retaining walls in the detail that I asked for. This for a project called "yard with retaining walls." Sigh.

At least I got a lot done yesterday, in prep for the rain. Looks like the next system moved in. Lots of rain now, instead of "Oregon mist."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Don't have any tasks, onerous or not, that need doing. I need to buy a new pair of sunglasses, since the pair I've been wearing for years snapped in half.(My fault, I guess, as I should have put them back in their case rather that letting them bounce around my purse.)

In other news, I had an odd dream about taking my cousin out to eat at a cafeteria in a really odd Memphis shopping mall. This is like the third time I've dreamed about going to fictional restaurants and had to take a moment upon waking to realize they (and the streets they're on) don't actually exist.

Maybe they will, Matt. You could have extremely selective precognition.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Haircut = made of awesome.

Neat new place called Pincurls. Cut is great, they give you wine and beer along with the usual weak herbal tea or water, and it was about $20 less than I expected (even before the $20 coupon I had from a referral). Plus it's right down the street from the pie store, where I picked up a slice of pork, apple and sage pie for dinner and something called a funeral pie for dessert. (I don't know what that is yet, but c'mon.)
