In other news, I had an odd dream about taking my cousin out to eat at a cafeteria in a really odd Memphis shopping mall. This is like the third time I've dreamed about going to fictional restaurants and had to take a moment upon waking to realize they (and the streets they're on) don't actually exist.

Maybe they will, Matt. You could have extremely selective precognition.
Haircut = made of awesome.
Neat new place called Pincurls. Cut is great, they give you wine and beer along with the usual weak herbal tea or water, and it was about $20 less than I expected (even before the $20 coupon I had from a referral). Plus it's right down the street from the pie store, where I picked up a slice of pork, apple and sage pie for dinner and something called a funeral pie for dessert. (I don't know what that is yet, but c'mon.)

Nice hair! And wine, beer and pie? Score.

I concur!
My living room is at that halfway-through-being-rearranged stage where it is practically impassable, but I am decidedly running out of steam. It may stay this way until Sunday.
I thought you said the place was called Piecurls. I was all over that. But down the road isn't bad.
Between that and the 250-lb dog, best afternoon I've had in a while.
The name of the place totally made me think of you, Hec.

You should make them give you actual pincurls next time!
My guess is that raisin pies started being called funeral pies because they could be made at short notice.
