Compassionately intolerant

I've been putting hemp hearts in my granola and am loving it. Super satisfying and nice, nutty flavor.

I tried chia seeds this morning but realized I could never have it on a morning when I needed to be somewhere. MUCH toothpicking.

I'd endorse pumpkin seeds too. Yum.

Fun Laura! I'm glad to remind you of something enjoyable.

Because books.

And someone has graffitied on the door "Destiel is Canon."

Wow. SPN fans really are everywhere.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Shit. Which one of you has been buying porn on my company card?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Home from Paris. Sick. Fall down go boom.

Trip was best decision I've made in a long time. Thanks for everything over the last year, my Buffista army.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to hear it, Maria! Get well soon.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I cannot see the words "Destiel is canon" without laughing, and you have officially seen it in the second funniest place (do they have public loos at the Vatican?), Sue.

I think I will try orange with the muffins next time, and use the light agave syrup instead of dark (I was swapping for brown sugar, so I thought...but no). These are totally tasty enough for me to snarf, unlike the last batch which you could tell wouldn't keep well, not even well enough for tea revivification. Don't want to depend on butter as fat, though, because I'd like to be able to eat them right out of the fridge. And I don't mind nutty flavour, I just don't like the consistency of nuts in most things. Will juggle suggestions accordingly--thanks!

If you're sizing a meal, how many ounces of meat (beef in this example, pot roast to be specific) do you estimate per adult?

Also, could you help a sister out? Mine, to be precise? She's looking for a good pesto recipe, but I dislike pesto, so I don't have anything to offer her. Please to assist?

Are there any other Buffistas in mid to finishing trips? What's with this timing anyway?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Does your sister prefer vague ideas or really specific recipes?

3 oz meat is the vague guideline. I go between 2 and 4 depending on what I'm making, what I am making with it and how delicious and vaguely healthy it is. I cook in ranges.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I say 4 oz.

Because books.

A nutritionist taught me that 3 oz. of meat should look roughly like a pack of playing cards. Which is probably enough, but a lot of adults are going to eat closer to 6-7 oz. at a meal. I'd go 4-5 per person as an average and expect some leftovers.
