Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's way more practical to have the nurse come in the afternoon, but until I get used to the rhythm (I could get used to the rhythm!) this bit now, with the wait and the headache...gonna take some getting used to.

Today is day #23 of #30 of my sketch challenge, and I'm looking at my deviantArt stats. Before this all started, the picture I had that had gotten the most favourites was the one I did after taking a few months of art class, and in it I was bringing to bear everything I could remember from the class. It was painstaking, without pain. Very considered, though, in terms of focus and composition and leading the eye.

So it felt nice that other people liked it too.

So far in this month of quick sketches, though, I have one with more favourites than that, 64 in less than a month, compared to 54 in almost a year. And another, in this same less than a month, with 50 to the previous leader's 54. So there goes my entire reward for deliberation--I'm having a lot of fun with these sketches, and people liking them is always gratifying, but it really makes it clear that if I tried to manipulate an audience to get popular, all else being equal (these are all pictures of the same pairing) I would have no idea what works. I thought I'd cracked it.

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO MANIPULATE PEOPLE, DAMMIT.

In other things you're very curious about, I don't think this muffin recipe is necessarily the one. Cakelike batter, but with restricted mixing? I'm definitely hitting clumps of dry flour that I hadn't with the pineapple raisin carrot batter, with less folding.

And I'm also thinking that cranberry oatmeal isn't enough flavouring. Most of the recipes also had nuts, but I don't want nuts. Need to work out what the magical third ingredient should be.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Don't we all?

Hmmm, will seeds be too close to nuts? Because cranberry and oatmeal isn't enough but I feel like you need to add something with a bit of substance and that's fruit, a substantial grain, seeds or nuts in my head. And you've got fruit, grain and don't want nuts. So seeds?

Our wings are not tired.

I'll be able to retire with no house payment and (hopefully) no car payment.

That is awesome, Zen!

Live at Daryl's House

Quite enjoyable, thanks! I know I had seen it at some point in time, but I had forgotten it existed.

Need to work out what the magical third ingredient should be.

Caramel chips! Well, that would be yummy to me anyway.

What kind of seeds would you recommend? I did dump some wheatgerm into this, to balance changing sugar to agave syrup, but not enough to alter flavour or certainly texture.

I guess I was hoping it would be oatier. The third recipe on my list has orange rind: [link]

NURSE!!!!

Another manipulation I need to be doing--making me her only patient today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really like orange and cranberry flavours together, I think the orange rind will be yummy.

What kind of seeds would you recommend?

Sunflower would be the easy choice just to try. Or sesame. Pumpkin are good. Hemp are totally California.

But if you are hoping for oatier, more oats? Different kind of oats?

If you find one with a bunch of flax but still nom-able, let me know. I don't want to make my own fruit leather but I do like easy fiber that doesn't startle my body.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay, nurse!

I think orange rind would definitely work. Nuts add that extra fatty texture, too, so maybe something that played off that? I dunno. Something crazy like ricotta?

Now I'm hungry. And I don't have any muffins.

hip deep in pie

So earlier today I was in a stall in the toilets of the National Museum of Ireland - Archeology. And someone has graffitied on the door "Destiel is Canon." First I laughed out loud. Then I took a picture. I hope noone else was in the bathroom.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Zen,

that's wonderful! Financial progress is great!

There really was no way that I was getting out of Target today without buying Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.
