So apparently bisexuals just lie about being attracted to the opposite sex?
They're in denial. That's the idea. They don't want to just come out as gay so they tentatively keep one foot in the bisexual status.
Personally, I'm weary of the need to jam sexuality into a binary scheme, or simple boxes. It's always about cultural baggage and never about actual sexuality.

Well, that list of Savage posts really shows a sensitive and empathic guy I'd love to have people associate me with entirely. Yay him.
I like Dan Savage, even though his discomfort with ladyparts is sometimes quite obvious.(Sometimes his column depresses me, though because they're all jaded and stuff and I haven't gotten to a lot of ordinary things yet.)

Huh. I read that list about Dan Savage and also listen to his podcast every wk. While he has certainly said all the quoted things, and is openly squeamish about lady bit (sheesh, he's a gay man, of course he doesn't love vaginas! Why would anyone expect him to??) he also very very frequently corrects/apologizes for certain statements that are either offensive or misconstrued. Everything I've heard from him in the last year has been very pro-bisexual and frequently exhorting bi ppl to 'come of out of the bi closet' so more people will understand that bisexuality isn't just confused gay ppl afraid to be openly gay.
