My onerous task is entering a lot of data into our payroll company's site, and I have been putting it off for days. Tonight we are going to see Steve Winwood, which seemed like it would be great fun when we bought our cheap tix back in August, except he's playing at an outdoor theater and it's cold and rainy. We have decided that the bad weather will cause the delicate wealthy wusses who bought the expensive seats to stay home, thereby offering us a chance to sneak up close to the stage. Given the weather, though, just going to the show is sort of onerous.

Natter 71: Someone is wrong on the Internet
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Paulie could be all "Nice project you have here...I'd hate to have something happen to it...your kids still at the same school?" In actual fact, I'm not really optimistic. But it *could* happen. At this point, I'm just hoping to "fuck them up, like they fuck up me," as Phyliss Leblanc said on Treme last week.(I should write to David Simon and say it will be their fault if I can't have HBO anymore. If he got on it, the cost-cutters will be praying to die.) Years after they've forgotten about me, they'll remember the producer with a grudge. After this, maybe a rally or protest.
How am I to do tasks, onerous or otherwise, when there is a kitten cam loose on the internet?
Not all Republicans agree with what Romney says. Unfortunately the moderates are being drowned out by the tea-partiers and ultra-conservatives. They're also being driven out of office at an alarming rate.
Of course. Not sure anywhere here thinks all Repubs think alike - as exasperated as we can get. My point was the people who are recently aggrieved with Romney's remarks on the phone call, but who (near as I can tell) defended MR for his 47% remarks revealed in September. You can't defend the video remarks and get huffy about recent remarks. They are the same fucking thing.
Filled out the goofy subrogation form for my broken arm. So not interested in helping, Kaiser!
Almost exactly. And Kelly Ayotte babbling about "context" hardly counts, in my view. She should be embarrassed.
Ok- thanks to JZ I did fill out my open enrollment form. It just feels like a crap shoot, but I went with 'high deductable" again, even though as I age I have more and more health problems. My out of pocket maximum is $2500, so that seems fairly reasonable, and I have an HSA for that amount. The plan is only $8.00 a month, and the other plans are all over $30 a month.
Serial: How's my hair look?
You look good, girl.
What is a subrogation form??
There's a blow dry bar opening near my work. I had to google to find out what that was.
Ooh, I went to one of those for the first time, a few weeks ago. I felt so pretty. But I can't imagine paying for that on the regular, at all.
I did my open enrollment yesterday. No changes to the health plan, so I kept the one I have, but am fully funding my FSA, since I'm planning on eye surgery (which will cost more than I can put in the FSA). And may need a root canal/crown on a tooth. Ugh.
We are dogsitting for a friend for the weekend and there are carpet cleaners doing the whole house. Visiting dog is a nervous pee-er. It's possible I should have scheduled the carpet cleaners for Monday.
