I had mine paid off 2 years ago and I am carrying a balance on one card again. DAMN CARD! MY goal is to aggressively pay it downover the next 6-9 months. Unfortunately some of the extra money disappeared with the payroll tax adjustment. I don't think my refund will be big enough to wipe it all out this year. I really tried to adjust my withholdings so I would just get the money throughout the year.

I'm still paying down my credit card debt (down to 1 card from 3) and my student loans, but I haven't used credit in over 4 years, so I'm learning better purchase habits. I want to get as much paid off as possible so I can take on a car payment sometime in the next few years.
Yay Jesse!!
I don't think I'll ever pay off my credit card debt. Childcare is just too expensive.
I know the feeling, Jessica, but it gets cheaper once you're out of daycare.
Yay!! Steph and Tim!!!!!!!! Woohoo, Jesse!!
We had all of our credit cards paid off but then sold Bob's condo (yay!) at a loss (boo!). We are making good progress though, since we only have one mortgage now, and should get the balances down significantly this year (god willing and the creek don't rise).
I protest! The New York Times portraits didn't have a Yorkie. The one next to me is currently pretend-eating my hand, so she's not really portrait material.

The cost for my two toddlers in my university's daycare is exactly the same as the estimated cost of tuition, room, and board for one undergraduate at the same school.
The toddlers don't even get a dorm room! Or a free gym! Or free bus passes to get to the downtown bars! How can daycare cost that much?

I demand free bus passes for toddlers! No, wait...
On the one hand, I agree that childcare *should* be highly valued because it's incredibly important. On the other hand, I can't afford it, so I wish it were cheaper.

Holy. Crap.
