Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Jesse! Next step: STAY out of credit card debt.

My dead washer and dryer are GONE!!! I found a place called unwanted.com that picked them up for no charge and they do their best to recycle. Other places I had called charged big money, so I'm thrilled to have them gone for a $15 tip.

I have decided against buying a new set for now and will be renting a set from our management company. We are likely going to move next year, so I'm going to tuck my laundry fund away and see if I need to buy at that point. Brand new set is due to be delivered on Friday!!! No more laundromat runs!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Just ask her how stuff works and how to get invoices approved and paid and stuff signed. It is so much simpler than trying to do it all myself

If only! I use our finance database so infrequently that I need to be hand-held through it every single time. Except it's harder and harder because after each reorganization we lose the one person who knows the system best. We're now down to one admin for an office of 25 people, and my boss just announced that we should be changing the toner and formatting our letters for signature ourselves, that Admin has more important things to be doing.

Congratulations, Jesse! I got out of CC debt about twelve years ago, after carrying it for three or four years, and ever since then I've been pretty obsessive about keeping it paid off. It's just too frelling dangerous. Of course, I've been regularly-employed for the last twelve years, too, which certainly makes a difference there.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I never really made enough money to support my lifestyle until after grad school, and at that point, I had new debt from being in grad school! Now I'm good -- I haven't spent money I don't have in years, but I have been slow to pay off the existing debt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In fact, I just ran to find finance chick, and luckily bumped into her in the hallway (she sits near the cannibal, and I'm exhausted and vaguely ill and achy and don't want to shoot the shit) and she solved the one remaining issue with the project that was worrying me.

One of the contractors here came to me to ask an etiquette question about a group lunch she'd been on. Why the fuck would you come to me? I am officially the least seen offsite with co-workers (I am going to ask to take half day today because I feel so awful, which will mean missing another lunch), and her and I have never had an actual conversation before.

Sometimes I feel like my antisocial signage is too subtle. But I can't work out how that can be.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had mine paid off 2 years ago and I am carrying a balance on one card again. DAMN CARD! MY goal is to aggressively pay it downover the next 6-9 months. Unfortunately some of the extra money disappeared with the payroll tax adjustment. I don't think my refund will be big enough to wipe it all out this year. I really tried to adjust my withholdings so I would just get the money throughout the year.

I'm still paying down my credit card debt (down to 1 card from 3) and my student loans, but I haven't used credit in over 4 years, so I'm learning better purchase habits. I want to get as much paid off as possible so I can take on a car payment sometime in the next few years.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't think I'll ever pay off my credit card debt. Childcare is just too expensive.

I know the feeling, Jessica, but it gets cheaper once you're out of daycare.
