MFNLaw, that was hysterical and true. And in the comments, some dumbass says "A candidate for the Presidency should provide proof of citizenship. Obama should have already been vetted. Why was he not ? That is not a partisan question. It is a simple matter of Constitutional law."
What is wrong with people?
Okay. Thanks for the advice on the mortgage. I feel a little less guilty.
Yeah, no points, thankfully. It will have to be a HARP loan because we've been see-sawing between above and under water for the last year or so. Very glad it's an option with rates where they are.
I'm so excited. Just purchased CJ's main Christmas present. I've been at a loss as to what to get him. Yes, I have a selection of geeky shirts, but nothing else what jumping out for him. But Jeff Dunham is coming to Colorado in March and tickets went on sale today. I got 5th row tickets!!!!! Now I just have to keep the secret until Christmas. CJ LOVES Dunham. I am also getting CJ a DVD of his and am going to tuck the tickets in that box.
I'm home alone and doing the happy dance. I love it when something just clicks like this. WOOOOT.
I so don't understand the tenacity of birtherism. Every bit of evidence that's reported is either ignored or chalked up to a conspiracy. I've had multiple arguments about it, and they tend to stop arguing (but never actually admit defeat) when I bring up the birth announcements in the two local papers in Hawaii. (Though I suppose some people will argue the microfiche is faked, too.)
The explanation is racism.
I have been to the Dr's about my knee and he thinks that I have torn my meniscus. He thinks (based on how much better it has gotten) that it will heal, but I am to call immediately if the leg starts buckling again.
Yay on the whole "knee not being as bad as it could have been" thing, Sophia!

Kalshane, that's just what they want you to think.
Onerous task completed: Went back into my uni's Open Enrollment, put enough in our health FSA to cover the large down payment on Matilda's 2013 dental work plus regular MD visit copays and a small cushion for emergencies, adjusted the day care FSA to reflect the school's aftercare discount program, and ended up $2200 ahead for next year even after the dental work stuff. I *think* that's enough to make a positive difference in our day-to-day lives but not to screw us over taxwise.
Next up: go to the bank at lunch, get all the acct info for the college savings fund the school district set up for Matilda so my awesome mom can set up a monthly direct deposit.
Before the end of the day: Complete draft of a professional association rec letter I'm ghostwriting for the new boss.
Hooray for a firm diagnosis, good healing so far and a good prognosis, Sophia!
Refinance~ma to Kalshane.
My onerous task today is an appeal-related doctor's appointment.
