YAY for ita's nurse! Non-hands reiki apparently works according to my decidely not-woo-woo skeptical yoga instructor (yes. that really is a good descriptor for her. She spends a lot of time cursing in yoga class).
In other news, I wore foundation for the first time this school year and my first group of kids told me I looked really white and the next group said I looked sick. AWESOME.
Grace has surgery tomorrow and she's a ball of stress around it. Poor noodle.
The bakery on the way to work will have fasnacht tomorrow, and I'm getting some. I wonder why it seems to be called fasnacht here more often than paczki.

I don't mind split infinitives. And I obviously have no issue with prepositions ending a sentence or conjunctions starting one. But non parallel structure makes me nutty.

She is so awesome now! Today I was on the phone at dinner and she was imitating me. When I got tired of the preadmissions crap she actually said, "Oh my god!" and rolled her eyes.
Also, Noah is loving the Harry Belafonte version of the Banana Boat Song ("what language is this in, mom?") and we have created Grace signs for it.

I'm not sure how I ended up with 2 such canine cats. Though Loki trumps Pumpkin in that respect. Cause she's more devious.
I can't wait to see N&G this TG. I still am sorry I didn't get to see them this year. I'm pretty sure I'll be shocked by their growth.
Actually Grace is a little chatterbox now. She mixes sign and speech and using a device. I think the school is going to get rid of her useless sign interpreter, which is awesome, and we hope up her speech minutes.

So, I love that it never occurred to me that for a pope to step down it's an abdication. I mean, my inner medievalist always knew the upper echelons of catholic hierarchy always were the royalty of the church, but to hear abdicate used in relation to a pope just brings it to the forefront.
