'Pope' relates to the Latin for father -- there's a reason he's called the Holy Father.
(I think it was in Barbara Hambly's Ancient Roman mystery where the 'detective' can't figure out why some of his suspects are referring to another suspect as 'Papa' until he realizes the reason for their secrecy is because they're early, persecuted, Christians.)
Also -- I got my car dug out! It only took a total of three hours, I think. I'm pretty damn worn out....
Theo, I just saw that school in S'ville is cancelled through Wednesday! That is bonkers. I mean, this is still New England, right? (Although I haven't been outside today, and acknowledge that it will get NASTY when it freezes after all the rain today.)
I like Barbara Hambly. I should read that book.
Hey, ita, did you see this about non-invasive brain nerve stimulation for migraine? [link] Apparently it helped....some people.
Jesse, that looks like the placement of the neurostim the beauty blog lady had. And it made me wonder--when my pain doc was saying they were testing stimulation for treating migraine--was that what he was talking about? Because that's not what he's planning on inserting. That would be a whole second setup. Misleading.
But curious.
Dude, my job. It can be fascinating, but I do get the weirdest phone calls.
Sigh.
If nothing else, it looks like that thing isn't inserted? And has no side effects? In short, it apparently worked for like 20 people, but still.

Matilda has the day off (Lunar New Year) so we've already made a long excursion down to 9th and Irving and GG Park. Stopped by Le Video to drop off The Inbetweeners Movie and picked up several VHS tapes of Stingray (a Gerry Anderson show like Thunderbirds with the puppets. Except underwater).
Now we're home eating Girl Scout cookies and finishing her Valentine Cards for school.
I'm officially to the bored part of the not-school-day.
