Maybe she can give you some nice, quiet, soothing Reiki in the lull btwn doses?
I've been told you can do non-contact Reiki, in which case, yes! I would rather do that than talk, and since drawing men having sex is rude, a nice middle ground.
I can't even describe how nervous I was for you today.
Oh, thank you! That's sweet.
even with whatever woo-woo trappings she might bring
She's an interesting blend of "string theory is a literal cureall" and modern medicine, but to her credit (and my relief so far) she seems to not press stuff too hard, even though she believes it very sincerely, once I've explained why it's not really going to happen.
So--if I can get a good anti-emetic, I will settle for just missing the nice nurses (totally down with this scenario) and being given search terms to "punch in" (I have to look up fountain of youth exercises before next weekend).
That didn't suck.
YAY good woo-woo nurse! Oh, ita, I am so glad.
Where are the Grammys this year? It looks like a stadium.
Wow, it's big. Thanks, msbelle.
The lead guy from Mumford looks like Brendan Fraser's British cousin.
Also, HOLY CRAP, that Levon Helm tribute was incredible. Mavis Staples! And the chick from Alabama Shakes was amazing.
I think Mr. Mumford looks like Coach Taylor a little sexed up. which is to say, yum.
He's lovely. And Adele is so wonderful I want to smish her.
I just made orzo for the first time, and I'm curious--it's very...wet. I mean, it's cooked in water, that bit is obvious. And there's a subconscious expectation for it to turn out like rice, because of the similarity of the pasta shape to the rice grain.
But drained, it just looks wet. Not in a limp soggy permeated way, but in a water clinging to the outside way.
Anyway, about to dive in.
I am so glad for your good woo woo nurse visit, ita. Orzo is kinda...wet. Rice look but pasta mouthfeel I guess. We do a venison spinach orzo dish I really like.
We are rollercoastering over here. Lost a colleague yesterday, and one of Dave's high school friends today, both to heart attacks. Friend having woes. But we sucessfully pulled off three shows in two days, and had about 60 in attendance at the big one, despite it being a completely unknown band, and the snowstorm.
I'm tired in that way where you can't get rest. But I finally got the fire going decently, so I think I'm going to make a cup of herb tea and call it a night. I might have to leave for work at 6 tomorrow, or I might be snowed in. No way to tell.
