Well helloooooo nurse!! :)

My head hurts. Stupid head. I'm a bit worried I've been having so many headaches because of the eye surgery, even though my eyes mostly seem ok.

Also, I ate too much. Which combined with the headache is very bad. But I made warm shredded brussels sprouts salad with bacon and cranberries and candied pecans and it was delicious! Until I ate too much of it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

SHE FOLLOWS THE DOCTOR'S DIRECTIVES but is willing to bend a little to adjust in light of my history.

That is wonderful!

How creepy that we're all so happy that your doctor's clear directives are actually being followed.

Still, very happy!!!!

Oh, ita ! I'm so glad things have gone well so far. May things continue forward well.

On top of all my other fun stuff, I'm trying to get tomorrows work done today so I can go to Loretta's memorial. My current project is tedious as hell but it keeps my brain from spinning on other stuff.

One good outcome of my breakdown is that it eased the tension with K-Bug.

Trust my rage

Suzi, is it snowing up there? School is delayed tomorrow but we don't have much snow.

ita, I'm so happy that things went well with the nurse; I can't even describe how nervous I was for you today.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad the nurse is doing what she should, even with whatever woo-woo trappings she might bring.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe she can give you some nice, quiet, soothing Reiki in the lull btwn doses?

I've been told you can do non-contact Reiki, in which case, yes! I would rather do that than talk, and since drawing men having sex is rude, a nice middle ground.

I can't even describe how nervous I was for you today.

Oh, thank you! That's sweet.

even with whatever woo-woo trappings she might bring

She's an interesting blend of "string theory is a literal cureall" and modern medicine, but to her credit (and my relief so far) she seems to not press stuff too hard, even though she believes it very sincerely, once I've explained why it's not really going to happen.

So--if I can get a good anti-emetic, I will settle for just missing the nice nurses (totally down with this scenario) and being given search terms to "punch in" (I have to look up fountain of youth exercises before next weekend).
