I'm so sorry about your dad, Consuela. It's going to be tough. I'm just glad that you got them moved before his cognitive issues rose to the fore.

It turns out, when you remove leadership from one whole section of the company you have to do a lot of shifting of people really quickly. All those shifts are coming from or into my department. I just had to draft the announcement. No one has an answer for me on how this impacts who I support. I foresee at least 2 more weeks of chaos, then a month or so of general unorganizedness. Then a calm of 1-2 months followed by reorganization.

quite possibly, yeah. We seem to have strokes in the family, rather than heart disease or cancer. Oddly enough it's on both sides, so I mostly know what's going to get me.
Yup, someone was riding down our street a few days ago, with their Australian shepherds, who Seabiscuit was very excited to see. They were serious working dogs, though, not leading a life of leisure like our pup.
That was the same day as my facebook status with the overheard at the gas station: "Hey, man, can we look at your cow?"

Will called, there's not a lot of snow in his neck of the woods and I read on Facebook Rutland has very little snow.
The National Weather Service forecast doesn't look accurate. I went out to look at the pretty snow and someone was jogging. It made me briefly consider walking to the library but I think I'll make brownies instead.
