According to Twitter, shrift is indeed in Chicago. She's probably arriving home nowish.
Chicago is one giant slushie spill.
I just sent an email to a Director detailing info on three flights.
His response?
That flight is fine, go ahead.
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!! Dear Sir, Communication - u r doing it wrong!!!!!
I'm gonna say he didn't read past the first one.
One more point of anecdata for le nubian - I got my first crown last year. It was...uneventful. I mean, no scabbing, more weird pressure than pain that I remember. It was, however, 2 visits, no wait, 3, because they managed to not get the permanent crown sized right the first time. But other than that, not at all horrible like my brain was bracing itself for it to be.
Just finishing work. I need a staff to do this stuff for me.

I feel like we're terrifying her. But honestly I balked at price more than actual experience and I kinda wish I'd gone for the crown.
It's a clearly personal thing and no one's teeth are the same so it's a tough thing of pushing back to protect yourself and still taking the best care of your teeth and bank accounts.
Another person might be fine with this filling. I? Am a weather balloon. I feel pressures and most hurt. So it's very subjective.
le n, I wish you a good dental experience. I hope we didn't freak you out or only talk about the bad bits. I do have one crown and it doesn't hurt ever. Wasn't bliss or cheap to get but it was a good call.
I had a Crown done just with one of the caines (Nova, Lido or whatever) - local, no general, no gas, no sedative. It was fine - really hurt less than typing does a lot of the time.
I am just getting off work, waiting for the rest of my carpool back to my car so I can go home. I have an appointment with a personal trainer at 10 am. That was kind of a dumb decision.
I think I have a crown. It doesn't bother me and I don't particularly remember the procedure. For another anecdata point.
It's a snow day! And my landlady's kids are celebrating by running from one end of the apartment from the other. It's like living under a herd of wild ponies.
At least they aren't skipping this time.
Hm. NYC schools are still on, no early dismissal announced. Literally every school district north of us announced either a closing or an early dismissal late yesterday, but Bloomberg has apparently decided he's had enough of being prepared and is going back to his 2010-style of just winging it and hoping everything works out.
I seriously cannot believe you guys are not closed.
We're trying to figure out here if we should cancel the concert or not...and it's still three days away. But the band will be coming in from higher elevation and the audience will be coming from a different higher elevation. It's possible we'll have nothing and they'll have 7 inches.
