Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Matt,

I appreciate the reassurance. It is not working.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

They'll probably offer gas to calm you down - take it and you won't be worried at all during the procedure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My new dentist recommended a new crown for my one that's always been kind of fucked up, but I don't think I care enough to spend the money.

As long as pain is dealt with, I will be okay. But I am not altogether sure I need the crown in the first place, so that's part of my hesitation. I think I'm going to have him do the 2 fillings and he will have to explain to me why I need the crown.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. I had that when I had my wisdom teeth out. They first gave me a low dose of it, but then when they started poking around in my mouth, I just kind of instinctively started squirming away. So they gave me a bit more, and tried again, and I hadn't felt any sort of "Wow, that stuff just started working" or anything, but I just didn't care anymore that there were sharp things in my mouth.

As I said, depends on the dentist and what facilities they have.

I think I get the fun scabbing because of the one-day fancy tech deal- I didn't get it from my traditional gold crowns. Instead of making a post-like buildup for tradition crowns, this tech makes a raised ring to mount the crown. From what I could tell watching the imaging, it is a closer fit which means they've got to get in really close to the gum, hence the scabbing.

Yes, it all sucks. But you'll survive. And just think, now that you think it will be miserable, it can only be better!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Does anyone know if shrift made it home?

She takes public transit, right? All the CTA trains are running normally.

She's been in California for a few days, and was supposed to fly home today.

I cracked my dentist up by turning down gas for the crown swapping and a micro-filling I got this year. But I don't like feeling high, and didn't consider it necessary for procedures that just require one shot of novocaine.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

She's been in California for a few days, and was supposed to fly home today.

D'oh! I forgot that.

I was relieved to get the crowns today- fixed several issues with those teeth.

Mind you, about ..uh, 5-7 years ago, I finally went to the dentist after a decade of ignoring my teeth due to various stupid sorta phobic/denial issues. And quickly dropped over 5K, I think, and got my first crown on a tooth I was afraid they would have to pull. Yeah, it was bad. NSM due to my neglect (they assured me) but just losing the genetic lottery. Which was stacked against me.

Now I'm all about regular checkups and getting shit fixed NOW. Because I have needed a root canal and I LOVED MY ROOT CANAL. But I never want to experience the pain that necessitated the RC ever again. And they've put fillings that deal with the painful nervy bits and shit doesn't hurt anymore.

Well, except tonight.

And it occurs to me, I have forgotten how many crowns I have now. 8? 9? 6 on top, I know.
