Tomorrow, I get double crowns. Swim in the am, probably sleep after the two damn crowns. And then eat mushy foods for a week. I've got polenta and mushy indian and a willingness to chew on one side...

Good luck with the crowns, sarameg!
Have a nice flight back, shrift!
How Bev pictures ita is also how I do. But then I imagine many of you picture me wearing a red dress all the time. :)
Annoyingly, boss called this morning to chew me out about people being bitchy about me maybe being out on a different project (not my fault!) and then she said it probably couldn't happen until May. Am not thrilled but also not wanting to job hunt. Will have to keep occasionally looking at postings to see if there's a magic perfect one. Or if things get worse. Ugh.
(Basically, the person whose project I'm desperately trying to get off of went to the person in charge of the possible project I'd be out on, and said "she wants off for x hand z reasons, all of which would still happen on yours, so you shouldn't want her". Except really,x hand z aren't great, but are not the main issue at all and I'd be ok with them on most any other project)
Yes, meara wears a red dress and Dana is a lamppost. Or possibly Gareth David-Lloyd. And I am what, Doc Martens?
Also, "another thought" totally counts as think.
Also, also, the first day of the cigar box building project went super great and no one was injured or cried and there may have been some enthusiasm on sullen teen faces so it's a total win of a day, but I am so zonkered, y'all. My forearms hurt from bracing lumber, and my throat is scratchy from saying the same thing for six sessions. But it was kickass and on a minor note, it was awesome that it was me, the woman, in charge of such a techy project and the two adult dudes there were helping out. I think it was good for the girls to see.
AAAND it was super fun to explain what the soldering process was going to be to the suddenly grinning teen boys. They are so my demographic. It's ridic.
We got through choosing, measuring, marking, sanding & filing today. No drilling because I left the bits in the sunroom. Oops, but not tragic. Next week will be drilling, decorating, installing the tuning keys (which I need to swing by Home Depot to get, btw, along with paint pens) and setting the guide screws. So much fun. I think the kids at this point don't really believe they'll end up with working guitars.
Tuesday I left a message with the nurse telling her I don't think I have ER options this weekend. I don't normally answer my cell at work (signal is lousy, plus...just don't want to talk at work), but my manager stopped our convo and told me to get it.
Maybe she's psychic, but it was the nurse telling me they're planning on starting this week--the people who fill the orders are okay, so the drugs are a go, they just need to find a weekend nurse.

I so hope this works smoothly, ita!
Apparently weekend nurses are thin on the ground, though, so I shouldn't get attached to the idea of Sunday. Saturday isn't great, because I'm not sure I'll still be able to drive in Friday, but the idea is that if I'm getting treated at home, maybe the lessened stress will mean the treatments are more efficacious and long-lasting.
Looking for help with my Dad, weekend nursing is really hard to find. It's obviously a very different situation but my adjacent experience is that weekend nursing is much harder to find and if you have a little flexibility (at least to try), leverage that.
The lessened stress of knowing that you are actually going to be treated, and treated in a specific way instead of playing ER roulette might give you the flex of an extra day. I really hope this works out for you.
Crossing fingers for you, ita. Home care nurse, we're depending on you.

That. To infinity.
