Tuesday I left a message with the nurse telling her I don't think I have ER options this weekend. I don't normally answer my cell at work (signal is lousy, plus...just don't want to talk at work), but my manager stopped our convo and told me to get it.
Maybe she's psychic, but it was the nurse telling me they're planning on starting this week--the people who fill the orders are okay, so the drugs are a go, they just need to find a weekend nurse.

I so hope this works smoothly, ita!
Apparently weekend nurses are thin on the ground, though, so I shouldn't get attached to the idea of Sunday. Saturday isn't great, because I'm not sure I'll still be able to drive in Friday, but the idea is that if I'm getting treated at home, maybe the lessened stress will mean the treatments are more efficacious and long-lasting.
Looking for help with my Dad, weekend nursing is really hard to find. It's obviously a very different situation but my adjacent experience is that weekend nursing is much harder to find and if you have a little flexibility (at least to try), leverage that.
The lessened stress of knowing that you are actually going to be treated, and treated in a specific way instead of playing ER roulette might give you the flex of an extra day. I really hope this works out for you.
Crossing fingers for you, ita. Home care nurse, we're depending on you.
Tomorrow, I get double crowns.

I understood that reference.

But, really, Pschent jokes are funny. It's a crown inside a crown. Nesting crowns.
May your reign over Egypt be long and benevolent.
OMG, yes, love the Buffistas.
