In re the BART spokesman, it's possible WMATA's is worse. When people were complaining about being sexually harassed on the transit system - sometimes by Metro workers - his resposne was "one person's flirtation is another person's harassment" (the wording may not be exact).

I really hate my downstairs neighbor AND UPS right now, although somewhat irrationally. I have a package coming to my home that I really DO NOT WANT to get sent back because I need it for a show. I can't have it delivered to the theatre because the secretary isn't working this summer, and the package pickup place closes before I get off work. I can't have it delivered to my work because they are now not delivering packages that they deem as personal. And now at home, my neighbor won't sign for it and also, I think her grandchildren banging in and out of the front door are knocking the infonotices off, so I don't get them. The UPS website only lets me change my delivery options if I have the info-notice number.

In other news, Father's Day is Sunday. And I remembered! So I ordered Dad the full dvd set of the Ioan Gryffudd (sp?) Horatio Hornblower shows. He likes Patrick O'Brian, so I hope he'd like these.

The real gift, of course, is the cook who starts next Monday and will make dinner for the folks every weekday. So long as my mother doesn't freak out about it...

Well, I just found out why UPS won't leave packages at my house- they don't leave packages at multi family dwellins with only one entrance. Since my house looks like a house, they used to just leave it there. But since my (newish) neighbor is there and goes outside and such, and she is not me, they figured out it was a multi family dwelling and won't leave it. My old neighbor also worked during the day, so they always left the packages thinking it was a single house.

Matt, my twitter feed is abuzz over some fucked up flu-like virus going around that saps people's energy. Do you have a bug?

I hope not - no other symptoms besides tiredness anyway. I didn't think anything of it earlier in the week because I was coming off 5 days of sleep deprivation thanks to biker rally and rudely early movers, but after a couple good nights and nothing more physically strenuous than my daily walks I'd expect to be feeling energetic again.
