You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh good grief, Pix! I'm so sorry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ugh, Pix. No good.

ION... I can totally solve a Rubiks Cube while drunk. Typing is much more difficult.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Yikes Pix! Thank goodness the harm wasn't more serious, but that's really scary.

I have a ridiculous fondness for that movie. Especially the opening vampire club scenes.

I can still hear that Pump Panel remix of "Confusion" in my head 14 years later.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, Pix! That's a lot.

I continue to be pleased with the ascendance of my generation, as we approach middle age. We were saying this out to dinner recently, when every song they played was college-era for us. So I just saw an ad for a FIVE CD set of 90s R&B, called "That's My Jam." Seriously every song looks awesome. I probably still won't buy it, but whatever.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am actually almost ready to leave the house, which is semi-shocking given my normal state of laziness. Now the dilemma: It's a beautiful day out, and Target is 2 miles away. I should really walk, but am feeling SO LAZY and wanting to take the bus. You know, I think if I walk there, I give myself permission to be more lazy the rest of the weekend, so it's worth doing. OK, sold.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I walked up to the farmers market and bought, among other things, three quarts of strawberries. One of which is already in my stomach. Mmmmmmm, so good. I think I'm gonna get some gardening in before my morning shower. It's such a gorgeous day here I can't even describe it.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Yoiks, Pix, that's a bad day.

We have a haircut for Gracie this morning and then Lowe's build and grow. I so desperately want to just sit home and watch stuff on TV.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry you had such a crappy day, Pix.

Passover ends tonight. Yay. (I suspect we won't be waiting until sundown.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

we have soccer at 1:30, until I am stealing Kat's wish and sitting in the recliner and watching tv. one benefit of an older mac, he can entertain himself (as long as it is electronic).

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It is nothing but rainy and dreary here today. Which leads to (1) oversleeping, because the bedroom never got morning sunlight, and (2) the incomparable smell of wet dog, since Kato hates to be toweled off when he comes in. I would corner him with a blow-dryer, except then the smell would be HOT wet dog. Ick.
