It was 80 here. I know because we were evacuated to the field. Another video of the evacuation: [link] The two teachers who went to the hospital are friends of mine. I was talking to one group after they had left their classroom to the extra room and then as they evacuated the building, I was the last one out because I wanted to snag some extra chips. I have priority issues.
Right now, all three children + K are watching people skate around with the Stanley Cup.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
Man, I really want to watch the midnight showing of the new Batman movie. But I would have to take the Friday off to make it vaguely possible. I haven't seen a midnight showing since...maybe the last Batman? Or was it Return of the King? Either way, I do need to get my hand in before The Hobbit.
I am *so* out of shape that doing 11 flights down made my legs shake every time I locked my knees. Friday. But it already feels better that when I did 10 today they did not.
My approach to exercise has always been that the first time back you go in at the deep end, and you definitely hurt afterwards. One of my physical training sessions, the trainer said that that was explicitly unnecessary, but--that's how krav people are, right? If it's not hurting, it's not working.
It's really humbling that something that doesn't take it out of me to do could still have that effect.

I was just thinking that. I'm glad they did it. Number 8 seed takes it all. Freakin' awesome, though it's a bit sad because Rob and I always watched the Finals together. Not going to dwell on that though....

Yeah. The Kings were particularly crummy looking months ago when we saw them. They've been excellent during post-season so good for them.

RIP green wig. I pulled it out in prep for the A's series (they play the Rockies Tues - Thurs) and it needs to be retired. Poor thing is a tangled mess.
It had a 10 year run. There were actually 3 wigs over this time span. I started wearing it during "the streak", the gold pom-poms were added the following year.
The jersey with 5 lbs of pins will have to be enough. Thank you for all the good times, green wig. You will be missed.
