The St. Bernard woke me up at 6:30, so I took the younger dogs out for an hour-long walk at 7AM. Finished listening to The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club, which means I can now move on to Harriet Vane, yay!
I have eaten breakfast and done the dishes and read the paper: time to start writing. Hmm.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Our pup chewed off most the wrappings of his splint last night, so we cut the whole thing off. Looks like the splint was rubbing his poor little dewclaw raw. Since his broken toe is not a weight-bearing one, we decided to just leave it off. I hate to disobey the vet, but he seems happier and much more comfortable. Being a BUffista, I researched the matter and splinting for toe breaks is apparently a BIG kerfuffle in the dog world.

Curtain-sewing progress: Three long hems done! One more long hem, and then four short ones, and I'll have the first pair of curtains done. I'm kind of slacking on the ironing part for the long hems, but I need to actually do it for the short ones. I'm not so good at that part. I always end up burning my fingers when I try to iron the folds for folding in an edge twice.
