Coding and Sleeping

I had a good Tuesday, too, although I missed Venus. I got to eat lunch with Jessica, and Neil Gaiman and Molly Ringwald were at the Harper party after BEA.

I've been reading my agent's twitter feed while she's at BEA and it sounds like fun. I hope she's running into lots of people who are interested in a middle-grade steampunk novel :)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

R.I.P. Ray Bradbury, Author of Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles

What?! Oh no. Dammit, he was supposed to live forever.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Dammit, he was supposed to live forever.

I know, right?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's fair to reject job applicants out of hand because their resumes are ugly as shit, right? Like, if everything is centered and it's a Word doc with visible gridlines turned on, I can assume that they're lying about having good attention to detail?

Yes.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Raises toast to The lovely Mr. Bradbury.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ray Bradbury gave a commencement address at my college while I was there - not my graduating class, but I went to the ceremony. It was a lovely, tear-inducing speech and nice to remember today.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sad about Bradbury.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac took money out of purse, lied about it, and then refused to go to the outpatient place because he did not like the consequences here and he didn't them there. fuck all. I am working from home (thank dog I never turned in my loaner laptop) and have cancelled what was to be day 2 with the new sitter. This may well be the end of the new sitter, I do not think she likes the idea of this type of thing popping up unexpected and/or what it would mean if it happened with her.

One stupid decision on his part - all these cascading consequences. Will he ever get it.
