Liese - thank you for the excellent Transit of Venus photographs!

Also - check out this special Hermes saddle. (Hermes started and continues being a saddlery as well as a maker of high end purses.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There's a thin silver lining to the Wisconsin election yesterday:

Lehman declares victory; result would shift Senate power to Dems

It's fair to reject job applicants out of hand because their resumes are ugly as shit, right? Like, if everything is centered and it's a Word doc with visible gridlines turned on, I can assume that they're lying about having good attention to detail?

Coding and Sleeping

I had a good Tuesday, too, although I missed Venus. I got to eat lunch with Jessica, and Neil Gaiman and Molly Ringwald were at the Harper party after BEA.

I've been reading my agent's twitter feed while she's at BEA and it sounds like fun. I hope she's running into lots of people who are interested in a middle-grade steampunk novel :)
