Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Polls are closed, but NBC News declares the race too close to call.

Considering how Walker was up 7% (give or take) in polls, I guess this is good news.

This is seriously fucked:

"This is what I did," she told the guy from the election board, who was sitting on a window sill, while an observer from the state Democratic party looked on. "I took the turnout from 2008 and 2010 and I averaged them, and I ordered 1100 ballots for 203. They sent me 700. And I'm also thinking that my own estimate was low. So, I sent something I thought was low, and they didn't even send me that many. The rest of them are back in the warehouse. Now, I'm thinking there's going to be a rush at about five o'clock when people get out of work, and they're telling me to call them when I get down to 100 ballots left. I'm going to call them when I have 200 ballots left, just to make sure there's enough time for them to get here."

She should have estimated much higher in the first place, given the high interest in the election. I mean, duh.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

If it ends up being really close and a substantial number of people couldn't vote...I think it will be not good, in a variety of ways.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, what a mess.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What the hell is neuroplasticity and why should I buy it? Sounds suspicious...

Woe to the fucking wicked.

There's a good amount of research supporting (at least some) neuroplasticity stuff. What's the context?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Neuroplasticity is just that your brain continues to change in adulthood, right? Which they used to think it didn't, and lost functions were just gone, but now there's a lot of evidence that , for example, different parts of the brain can take over the function of damaged parts. It's pretty awesome.

Oh, hey, I have an election right here to pay attention to. I voted by mail last week and forgot when the actual day was...
