I feel really bad for anyone who teaches higher education, and for the people that prepare kids for higher education. Having read many of the essays written by my sister's students, that shit is rough.
I was never taught how to write a paper, with thesis statement, et al. I'm really wondering why an Oxbridge mill like my last high school didn't look at essays that way, when it seems to be a normal part of US education, even though it doesn't stick as much as you'd want.
In other news, I can't get my new gold or silver Sharpies to write. Dammit, I have a black envelope I need to address.
