To me, this indicates a profound misunderstanding of either marriage or coaching, or both.
Yes, to me too. Huh. I'm going to survey the coaches in my life about this one.

Well duh, I could have decided that for them and saved a bunch of time and money. Also, Woo!
I turned on the TV to catch some news and it is all Edwards Edwards Edwards. And I am without caring. Guess I'll have General Hospital on for background entertainment instead.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. At any rate, I'll ask one coach about it, and I fully expect the answer to be "of course you're hot, dear!"
In Moneyball, the old school scouts were talking about how you could tell a lot about a player's confidence by his wife/girlfriend. Billy Beane dismissed that idea as nonsense. He only wanted to look at the stats.
When KCD was in the Navy and up for a security level increase, he was asked about me, mainly about my maidenname. This was in the late 80's, so I can kinda see why they would want to know how I had an Iranian last name and what alegences I had.
Well, I read the Vanderbilt coach thing to DH. He finds no correlation between recruiting HS boys and recruiting spouses. He expects it has to do with scoping out potential monkey business with his assistants' wives. So, eeeewwwww.

I think that's just the procedure -- with my brother, he had to give all of our names, etc., and someone came to interview us once.
Damn Laura. DH is kind of cynical, but probably not wrong!
Beau's sister works for the federal government. Supposedly in an innocuous branch of the government, but she made a hush hush trip overseas awhile ago. Anyway, we are convinced all of us have been background checked and probably have FBI files - if we did not already.
I review grants funded by federal agencies, so I'm sure I have already bored an FBI agent to death.
Dang. That is probably the best news he has had in four years.

It was a judgement declared instantly and in a matter-of-fact tone. Well, he knows a lot more coaches than I do.
I don't really have an opinion on Edwards. I never cared for him much and will be pleased if this means he is on my tv screen less now. His kids certainly don't deserve this level of attention.
I think Edwards is a dog. a really serious dog. I have lost respect for him based on what I know from trial transcripts.
I have to agree: I don't want to hear more.
I don't doubt your DH, Laura. At all.
