A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ita !, I don't know how anyone could mistake you for anything other than a smokin' hot woman in that outfit. You look smashing.

FINALLY, it is storming here in Baltimore. We've missed most of them the past couple weeks.

Of course, I suspect it is only because I did water the plants today, figuring it wouldn't rain if I didn't...

I'm glad it is storming tonight and not last night. Bad enough it was raining in my car last night (1h45m drive in crazy humidity had all the vents condensing up and dripping!)

Erin, glad your armfix looks to be quicker and less hefty than a cast. My dad had a pin put in his hand when he broke it (er, actually, after he broke it and it healed wrong in a cast that he bitched about the whole time he had it) and that healed a lot faster and better than the cast.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm glad the rain is finally in DC. The wind this afternoon freaked me right out. The door to the liquor store (above which, I live) is incredibly heavy. My landlord generally runs around the counter to open it for me, it is such a struggle. Today, he had to actually lock the door between customers because the wind was BLOWING IT OPEN. Crazy strong gusts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(1h45m drive in crazy humidity had all the vents condensing up and dripping!)

Oh god, I was on a crowded bus on Friday, and all of a sudden, the AC started dripping on the guy next to me. We were in the five-across at the back, and there was an empty seat, so we all squooshed over. Yay nice people.

OH! But that reminds me! There was also a guy STARING at me. I wasn't sure if he was, because of course I was staring straight ahead like you're supposed to, but finally I turned my head and stared him down until he looked away. But then he did it again! ::shudder:: It wasn't like I was in his line of sight -- he had to turn his head to look at me. Then we got off at the same stop, but luckily, we went into the subway while I waited for another bus (which was a mistake, but that's another story).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Made it home! I walked from Water Tower to Lake so that I could get on a bus before it was packed. At least it's nice out. I wonder how long it would've taken to walk the 8 miles home.

Need to make dinner now.

Yeah, I couldn't really run away from the dripping on my feet since I was driving... FTR, never pass up an opportunity to have MFNlaw's fam feed you. NOMNOMNOM. I should have snuck out with the bruschetta tub.

Unrelated, uhg, stupid creepy people.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've always been curious about this:

Words to Avoid Online If You Don't Want to Join the Government's Watch List

The actual list is fairly long and is presented as graphics, not text. I guess this makes it less likely posting or viewing the list will trigger... something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a starey guy in my last semester of university. I was retaking a class that was a requirement that I didn't get a high enough grade in the first time round, and so I was bored shitless--I failed because I missed the midterm, not because I didn't know the stuff.

And there was this *really* good looking guy that I used to sneak looks at, until I discovered he was sneaking looks at me. Instead of talk like two healthy people, we just started staring at each other obviously--we just traded off so we didn't have to maintain eye contact either.

And we'd pass each other in town, and we'd look at each other with our trench coats flapping in the wind...and keep walking.

On the way out of the final, he held the door open for me, and that was the most interaction we had.

I'm pretty stupid sometimes.

Speaking of...okay, that's mean. But we're still troubleshooting an issue, and it consists of me suggesting things and then everyone being quiet and nothing being done. I don't know why we're still having conference calls. Our choices aren't many--so we might as well do what we have instructions and permission for, right?
