Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've always been curious about this:

Words to Avoid Online If You Don't Want to Join the Government's Watch List

The actual list is fairly long and is presented as graphics, not text. I guess this makes it less likely posting or viewing the list will trigger... something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a starey guy in my last semester of university. I was retaking a class that was a requirement that I didn't get a high enough grade in the first time round, and so I was bored shitless--I failed because I missed the midterm, not because I didn't know the stuff.

And there was this *really* good looking guy that I used to sneak looks at, until I discovered he was sneaking looks at me. Instead of talk like two healthy people, we just started staring at each other obviously--we just traded off so we didn't have to maintain eye contact either.

And we'd pass each other in town, and we'd look at each other with our trench coats flapping in the wind...and keep walking.

On the way out of the final, he held the door open for me, and that was the most interaction we had.

I'm pretty stupid sometimes.

Speaking of...okay, that's mean. But we're still troubleshooting an issue, and it consists of me suggesting things and then everyone being quiet and nothing being done. I don't know why we're still having conference calls. Our choices aren't many--so we might as well do what we have instructions and permission for, right?

There was also a guy STARING at me. I wasn't sure if he was, because of course I was staring straight ahead like you're supposed to, but finally I turned my head and stared him down until he looked away. But then he did it again! ::shudder:: It wasn't like I was in his line of sight -- he had to turn his head to look at me. Then we got off at the same stop, but luckily, we went into the subway while I waited for another bus (which was a mistake, but that's another story).

I heard a huge conflict between two guys on the subway this weekend. One guy gave me and Noah his seat and moved to sit next to an older black guy. The black guy confronted him and asked him why he moved and the young white guy said, "Because you're handsome." It escalated from there but the white guy was just really insistent that he would sit where he wanted and didn't need to justify it.

uncomfortable to observe.

Ack. If some guy said he sat next to me because I was pretty I'd be realising all sorts of reasons to be elsewhere.

"Why did you move to sit by me?"
"Because you're less creepy than the guy following me."

Yup. And yet, that's unlikely ever to happen to me again: going grey has pretty much made me invisible.

At least it's nice out. I wonder how long it would've taken to walk the 8 miles home.

I managed to get on a 145 before it got packed, and then got out and walked the last few miles to my apartment rather than going to the gym.

ita, it wasn't said in any genuine tone. It was more like, "shut up and let me just sit here or I will embarrass you."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yes, we do.
