The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Lee, I am totally craving a bacon cupcake this afternoon and that is entirely your fault.

I am evil like that.

I seem to have hit the point where I am so far behind I've pretty much stopped trying to get caught up, at least for the day.

Oops.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Lee!

I am right behind you. I am at 97%

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am on the phone with the lousiest tech people ever. We have a severe issue, and troubleshooting needs to be done, and none of them have any idea.

I'm trying to suggest recreating the commands that the really slow application is cho(c)king over directly in the backend app itself to see if it's the backend app, or something in the .NET application calling. Everyone is silent..tumbleweeds rolling. It's fucking pissing me off, not least because my manager keeps asking me what to do.

I am not a developer (of this system). I have zero clue, and I'd really like an actual developer to have some initiative.

TRACE THE FUCKING CODE MOTHERFUCKERS. CHECK THE NETWORK TRAFFIC. FUCK.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Man, everytime I look on Twitter it seems like there is another fire on a different Chicago El line.

I've been waiting for almost an hour for a bus that isn't already overcrowded since everyone headed north is taking a bus. I'm starting to get hungry.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I need to find some more work-appropriate t-shirts that are long enough to tuck into the mid-rise pants and jeans I own. Part of the problem is finding things in colors I like. (popsicle colors are not my friend)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ita !, I don't know how anyone could mistake you for anything other than a smokin' hot woman in that outfit. You look smashing.

FINALLY, it is storming here in Baltimore. We've missed most of them the past couple weeks.

Of course, I suspect it is only because I did water the plants today, figuring it wouldn't rain if I didn't...

sarameg - May 29, 2012 4:19:02 pm PDT #7458 of 30001

I'm glad it is storming tonight and not last night. Bad enough it was raining in my car last night (1h45m drive in crazy humidity had all the vents condensing up and dripping!)

Erin, glad your armfix looks to be quicker and less hefty than a cast. My dad had a pin put in his hand when he broke it (er, actually, after he broke it and it healed wrong in a cast that he bitched about the whole time he had it) and that healed a lot faster and better than the cast.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm glad the rain is finally in DC. The wind this afternoon freaked me right out. The door to the liquor store (above which, I live) is incredibly heavy. My landlord generally runs around the counter to open it for me, it is such a struggle. Today, he had to actually lock the door between customers because the wind was BLOWING IT OPEN. Crazy strong gusts.
